For an additional fee per month, you can add Verizon's iobi Home service to your calling package and manage your calls and messages better.
This service provides you with a web-based console that lets you see caller IDs so you can decide whether or not to take the call, allows you to manage your voice mails and schedules call forwarding to any phone at any time.
Need to carve out a block of time for an important call? You can easily block calls from your PC as well, and unblock them when you are finished.
You should know that if you also have multiple voicemail boxes, iobi Home only works for the main voicemail box.
we would like to have this feature on our phone
but have been told it's unavailable by one person
and by another person we can get it on line.
Another phone company offers something just like
this. I don't want to switch so how can I go about
getting this package?
IOBI sounds great. I've been trying to get for three weeks now. I've learned a lot about Verizon in my quest to get the service. I've been transferred from the residential dept to encore to the e-center to technical support and back to any of the above. If you are thinking of ordering it... Good luck! Three weeks - AND COUNTING! You want a tip? Only call the e-center and don't let them transfer you. Another tip - don't waste your time looking for how to sign up online. One of the most technically advanced communications company hasn't figured out how to get that part working yet.
I've use iobi home for 2-years, & it is excellent for screening/blocking calls. I enjoyed the address book the most. I switch to another phone service, & then decided to switch back to verizon & they indicated I could not resume iobi back because it will soon be obsolete. I really wish I could get this service back...Thanks
