Qwest Long Distance Services

Qwest offers several long distance packages and it can be chosen as a long distance-only carrier in some states. 

The Qwest Unlimited plan allows unlimited nationwide calling for approximatel y$25/month if you are not a Qwest local service customer and $15/month if you bundle long distance with local service from Qwest. 

The Qwest 5 cent nationwide plan is offered for a flat additional fee of approximately $5 per month and has no talk time restrictions. 

For customers who make very few long distance calls, there is a 15 cent/minute plan for nationwide calling offered with a 99 cent additional fee per month.

Qwest International Calling

Qwest offers several packages for international callers, allowing you to select the one that best fits your needs. 

Qwest Choice International Dialing enables calling to up to 200 countries at competitive rates for a flat fee of about $5 per month. If you're curious about what the rates are to call a particular country, check their website.

For customers with relatives or friends in Mexico, Qwest offers several options. These are unique plans, and would make sense for callers with other local carriers who make frequent calls to Mexico. Qwest Plan Latino gives you a set rate of 7 cents/minute to Mexico with low rates to other Latin American countries included at a monthly charge of $5.99. The 10 Cents to Mexico plan is similar, but the monthly rate drops to $2.

For more frequent Mexico callers, Qwest offers the Qwest Mexico 180 and Qwest Mexico 360 plans at $20 and $35/month, respectively. 

Qwest also offers the 60 Minutes Canada Savings plan at an additional $3.50/month for Canadian callers. 

All International plans require a nationwide long distance subscription as well. 

Qwest Local Phone Service

Qwest is one of the premiere carriers in the western United States and offers two main local-only phone services. One is a full featured unlimited usage service called Qwest Choice Home Plus which is approximately $35 per month and the other is Qwest Choice Home with unlimited usage and your choice of three features at approximately $30 a month. Features include Qwest's Line-Backer service, which gives you a warranty against inside line or jack problems, custom ringing, caller ID with security screening and six free 411 calls.
